The adults of both families spent a week at the house during October and occupied themselves on a number of minor projects.

There was one addition to the household inventory.

John buisied himself making and fitting a door for the hole in the wall between the lounge and the utility room.

Furnituire stainingMaggie meanwhile applied a few coats of woodstain to some of her bedroom furniture (outside in the autumn sunshine, of course).

 

 

 

I finally got around to covering the unsightly pipes at the top of the stairs which had been a bit of an eyesore since May 1996, but just not a priority.

A visit to the local Brocante in Gorron during October 1999 provided the oppportunity to purchase a kitchen table.

Sue polishing the table Whilst the table's condition was far from pristine, its price was right and following a good scrub and waxing it has that 'well used' look and provides a welcome addition to our household inventory. The cleaned up table
