diary of the purchase and renovation of a 100 year old French
cottage as a holiday home.
La
Martinieré was originally two farm workers cottages which were,
some time ago, combined into one dwelling.
It
is situated at the North end of the Department of Mayenne (in
fact, it is only 200 metres outside the Southern boundary of
Normandy) in an area of mixed arable and dairy farmland.
The
nearest town is Gorron, approximately 10 minutes
away by car.
